The Richmond Times-Dispatch published a column by CHSF President L. Scott Lingamfelter titled, “Let’s Secure Virginia Before the Next Tragedy”. In the article Lingamfelter states, “The sad reality is that depending on federal, state, and local governments alone to swoop in to save the day won’t work. Despite their commitment to the welfare of their communities, they cannot address the complexities and scope of the problem adequately. The answer lies in a new model.” The column was also published in the newspaper’s online entity, InRich.com. CHSF is highlighted by the Virginia Higher Education Preparedness Consortium with an article in their What’s New section of the website home page.
